Jul. 19th, 2011 08:31 amSo I got up at 4 to ride this morning- last night it was like 92 degrees around 8 pm and I said "ya know, it is pretty dang hot, I think I will do something in the early morning because I don't really want to ride when it is that hot."
I am guessing this will get old real quick and I will give up and ride when it is hot-but-waking hours.
Anyway, I managed to ride and shower and get to work, so all is well. Except I am a little sleepy and a little sore.
Anyway, it was 70 degrees while we worked and that felt very nice. Pony was stiffish about the left bend- I was crappy-ish about my position and butt-heavy, but eventually we both got a bit better and I remembered to stop constantly pushing and start moving a leg at a time. Eventually after she loosened up we did straight and then straight but move the shoulders over, and then we did some decent canter, although it still feels a bit like a slip n'slide (tis the season) but overall she tried and was a good kid.
This whole early morning thing would also be a bit easier if I had just remembered my blueberry muffins. They are home, in the fridge, and will be eaten by the hubby, and the boy, but not me. :(
