Oct. 24th, 2011 10:58 amI found a horse I want to buy. I think I would buy him if he was sound and not too old and I had money to buy/keep another horse.
He is a plain looking bay QH gelding. I didn't look at his conformation. I've never seen him move.
I did see him with a plastic feed bag, halfway up his head, licking and chewing at the inside.
A second bag was at his feet where he had apparantly discarded it after doing the same thing to it.
I climbed into his pen and took the bags away, while he stood there looking friendly. Even though he had a flymask on and I couldn't see his eyes, he looked friendly.
I stuffed the bags down into a blue plastic trash barrel a few feet away from his pen. He stretched his head toward it, stretched as far as he could, but he could not reach the bags.
I started to walk away, then I noticed he pushed on the edge of the barrel, tipping it toward him, till it was close enough that he could reach the bags, which he happily extracted again.
I'm telling you, I want that horse. Brave, smart, and friendly.
