Cool- thanks for clarifying- It does seem to get lumped together, and I do find it odd, but interesting. I don't quite see how it got from "I'm not having kids" and "I have dogs" to "I have dogs and they are my kids and so I am their mom." I mean, I see it in a joking, analogy sort of way, but I don't quite get how it got to be not-a-joke for a lot of people.
