I always chicken out at about 5F - even if I can ride bareback. Between 5 and 25 is ok in short doses with decent footing, and especially if I can lose the saddle and perch all warm and happy on the fuzzy horse.
I really enjoyed riding bareback through deep snow as a kid. It is really fun when you have a nice horse and a nice place to do it. Trudi's back is like a stegasaurus though- bareback on her is not fun and I kinda miss it sometimes.
