Mar. 11th, 2008 08:45 amBleh, I'm tired.
My mom sent me some cute boots- pink wellingtons with little horses all over them. I'll have to post a picture of them while they are still clean. :)
Rode last night and it was ok. Trudi was a little tense but we did some good work anyway- she was all "we trot faster now?" and I was all, "Uh, NO."
"faster now?"
"No."
"how bout now?"
*sigh*
But anyway, when I got the rhythm and the connection we worked on being straighter too, and I think we're making a bit of progress. Canter left was really good, we did some shallow serpentines down the long side, which she found interesting- her ears started flicking back and forth and you could kind of hear her go "Oooh."
She was really balanced and nice that way- to the right she wanted to rush a bit more, so we worked more that way- didn't get the serpentine very well but we did manage some straight strides and a decent circle or two. We also did some trot lengthenings that felt good, and left it at that. My hips are feeling it today though.
