Apr. 21st, 2008 10:24 amLunge lesson yesterday- soooo nice. Trudi was like "OMG" at first when I started swinging my arms around- but after some petting on her neck and haunches she was like "I LUV lunge lessons". Trainer had me change how I was sitting so that my legs actually hung down below me, ala not-the-chair-seat, and suddenly sitting up just happened- no struggle for posture, alignment, or tipping back-n-forth. Trudi's rhythm got a lot steadier because I wasn't getting forward or behind the motion. However it did seem like my crotch might want a bit more room or a slightly different alignment in the saddle, and the seat seems to want to tip me back a bit too much when I am actually vertical, so I will be trying out some other saddles and researching the saddle shopping process a bit... I told my husband "I might need a new saddle," and he actually yelled "AAAARRRRGHH!!!".
Still bounced far too much but at least now I feel like my legs can drape and be UNDER me- so it's a start and it makes me feel better that something has been wrong and it's not just me being lazy and/or out of shape. I still have to do a lot of work to do on my seat, but in a different way.
