May. 19th, 2008 07:55 amRode Trudi the day before I left town and she was super- feels like she's really carrying herself well. She had energy but it was well contained- my only complaint would be with how muddy she was. Maybe we'll have less rain this week and I'll be able to give her a bath so she isn't so filthy... Shedding is finishing up I think, she's looking sleeker.
I saw the largest privately owned indoor arena I've ever seen in Illinois this weekend- a nice girl that also rode when I was a teen has grown up, gotten married, had a child, and is training horses (western). She used to loan us her truck and trailer, and had a job for a while schooling harness horses. Anyway, we went to visit her farm (unfortunately she was off at a show so I didn't get to see her) and holy cow this indoor is HUGE. You could fit 3 - 4 regular indoor arenas in there. Lovely property too- nice rolling green pasture with a stream running through it. Very cool to see such a sweet person end up with such a lovely place. :)
