Aug. 6th, 2008 03:18 pmWorked on suppling my little red wagon (erm, pony) yesterday. When I got to the barn it was really windy, but it died down a little and some big dark clouds rolled in and made it nice and cool. Trudi was pretty good after initially being terrified of the mounting blocks (for some reason there were like 12 of them outside) with the exception of "trot FASTER, TROT FASTER". Walk work was engrossing- I was trying to get her whole body onto a bend, including that stubborn spot just in front of her withers. When it felt like we kinda had that, we did some figure eights at trot, and I got a few strides where she got taller and all her legs were directly under her body. But just a few. Canter was so-so - we almost figured out how to really balance, but not quite.
