Dec. 1st, 2008 08:13 amGlory be, it's been almost a week since my last post?
Where have I been? Off! On Vacation!
Where did I go? Nowhere!
What did I do? RODE. (Also cooked thanksgiving dinner).
In a stunning display of atheleticism and dedication, I rode 6 days in a row last week. Ok, so maybe athleticism is not exactly the right word. Because frankly, I am old, and I am out of shape, so by the second day I was dying in short order. My arms were falling off and I was whining a lot. During lessons trainer mostly drowned out the cries of my suffering with "MORE BEND" and the occasional "KEEP GOING". The first night my stomach hurt. Like, my diaphragm. Don't ask me how I managed that. The second night, my arms and left hip hurt. The third night, my arms, hips, neck, shoulders, and back hurt. I think the next night was the same, but finally, by the 4th day, I started to hurt a little less and be able to ride a little longer with slightly less whining. ^_^
Overall- canter did not improve as much as I wanted, but trot got FABULOUS... :)
