Mar. 1st, 2010 08:22 amDecent weather this weekend- 50 on Satureday and 38 on Sunday... but mud, mud, mud. I took Trudi's turnout and hosed it off on my deck because it was so filthy.
Saturday was ok but not great- Trudi was actually not as bad as I would have expected, given that there was a bulldozer working outside. Fortunately it was almost white noise because it didn't vary much, so she had some tenseness but it wasn't total chaos.
Sunday was quiet and we did some very good work. I noticed she would sucker me in at a particular spot just after the boogeyman corner when going right- I would be thinking "shoulders in, haunches out" and while I started insisting she move away from my right leg throught that corner, immediately after she would tense up and I would go "Oh, gonna explode, can't put my right leg on, nonono..." And then I was like "Well, this is an effective evasion, so let's put my right leg on." And the world did not end. Still, every time, it feels like it's GOING to. Every time I have to forcibly override my knee jerk reaction not to touch her. Wacky.
In any case, I am sore, and there are 2 new inches of snow on the ground.
However, Trudi has started shedding a little, so I feel like spring must come... who knows when...
