Cranky old lady rant

I'm sick of kids plastered all over my horsey stuff. I don't need to see yet another picture of a little rich girl with a zillion bows in her braids with a pony she is leasing for the season (and her name embroidered on her glove? Gag me). I don't need to see another kid in tails doing the jr/yr thing. I am sure they are good, and one here or there is fine, but I've seen at least 4 such covers lately and I'm already tired of it. It's a small thing but it's my blog and I'm old, and old people complain. It's what we do. Start catering to my demographic, damnit. And don't remind me that in a way I asked for this, when I said I needed a break from Tottally Totillas and black horses with 4 white socks....

TOTALLY AGREE. I'm not even that far out of the YR age range and I'm tired of it. Good for them, everything came together for them to make it happen so early (i.e. most of the time, their parents could afford the horse/training/stuff/travel/etc.), but I don't think they need any more encouragement or special help or interest than they're already getting.
