A sad little aside

I had to put my favorite cat to sleep yesterday (we still have one other cat, which I love, but not as much). He was the best cat I've ever had- he had a wonderful personality. He had ongoing problems with bladder stones- had surgery done on him a couple of years ago but I think they came back since the symptoms reappeared. He got really sick yesterday and my husband called me at work. I got home and the kitty was lying on the laundry by my hamper, looking very sick. His eyes were half closed and he only meowed once or twice in the car. I've been struggling with putting him to sleep because he was such a sweet cat. I kept putting it off, but yesterday there was no choice. I will miss him very much- he always loved to be held and petted, and would do little tricks like jumping over things for me.

So very sorry Sara...makes me tear up for you. Hard thing for animal lovers to go through - so many people don't understand the impact our furry friends have on our lives. Been through it with so many pets myself but it never ever gets any easier. Each one is unique and special. What was his name? Hope you can find some comfort knowing there is no more pain, and he's up chasing mice and bugs and eating fresh tuna :-) Attempt to make you smile: Mouse went to heaven, God asked him what he wanted, so mouse asks for a pair of roller skates. (you can see where this is going) ...A few minutes later a cat comes to heaven and God asks what he wants. Cat looks around, sees the mouse skate by and says "Gosh! What more could I want - there's Meals on Wheels up here!"
