It sure is getting dark fast these days. Trudi was thrilled with the carrots I brought her. She would snort and lean back away from the plastic bag, but then when I got a carrot out of it she was like "Well yes, I guess I would like to eat that." and she munched on it while keeping an eye on the bag.
Good ride- I can feel how hard she is working sometimes, muscles going "ARRRGH it BUUUURNS." It's really cool for us both to just work really hard though while being in tune- I can be like, "Okay, I feel the stiffness right there...or the part that's not in alignment right there...or that this leg is not stepping through enough...". Left lead canter was fab and she knew it- when I brought her down to a walk and petted her, she stopped and brought her nose to my boot and waited for a treat. :) She waited patiently for a while and eventually resigned herself to a little more work (sorry pony, gotta go the hard direction now). Right lead canter was messy for a while since she was like "I don't want to go over there so I'll scramble also this is HARD" in the BC, but eventually she did some nice strides and a nice downward transition. Steeling myself for wackiness this weekend, it's supposed to get chilly.

Ugh, and to think it might SNOW this weekend! Not ready for that! Sounds like Trudi is REALLY getting it now! I need to come see her soon. -Nadia
