So Canadian mare #2 has passed the prepurchase exam.
Whoa.
Just have to send money up north, and arrange shipping, and voila, horse.
The nerves are starting to set in. She's not started, doesn't even lunge yet. She has a big fat haybelly and a long furry coat (good, cuz it was -9 degrees when I drove to work today). She has a quarter crack and a wolf tooth. So, obviously, she needs some work. She's not QUITE 16H yet, but the vet thinks she's still growing- she's about 15.3 and 3/4 hands.
I'm excited.
My first warmblood. A horse with that floaty trot I've admired since the first warmblood I ever saw, which was about 17 years ago. She's 1/2 Westphalen, 1/4 Hannoverian, and 1/4 TB. She's chestnut with a white blaze and 2 white front socks.
I'm starting over again. It's fine though. I know I'm going to be even busier and more broke than before, but I'm okay with my life consisting soley of work, family, horse. I just need to be able to work out a schedule and stick to it, and a routine will make the horse happy as well as me.

New horse, congrats! Starting your own is wicked nervewracking, but you just know it'll be so much more rewarding with each milestone! Good luck, keep updating!
