So my neck/shoulder felt a bit better after 3 days of rest and a lot of tylenol and advil, and I managed to get out for a quick ride last night. The weather was so lovely this weekend I had to go. I got on and as we head toward the far end of the arena, Trudi starts spooking, badly. Like dancing, spinning on my hind legs, snorting and dodging and backing up spooking. BO has put up some Halloween decorations in the garden planted outside the far end of the ring. There are like some little ghosts sitting in a graveyard or something by the look of it (we weren't getting close enough for me to know for sure).
I thought it was kind of funny that these little decorations ended up being quite scary to at least one onlooker. ^_^

Eventually Trudi was very brave and let me ride to the end of the arena- she wasn't super hyper so she actually listened pretty well to my leg "C'mon, I'm here, I'll protect you" and I made sure NOT TO LOOK IN THE SCARY DIRECTION. :) We just walked through the spooky end so that I didn't end up screwing my neck/shoulder up again (worse) with a big fight and I was quite proud of her bravery.
